Is One of the Scottsdale Homes in Your Future?

Explaining the Appeal of an Uncommon Scottsdale Arizona Home

Being the class of the Phoenix suburbs make Scottsdale homes much sought after. The houses are spacious and often designed with energy efficiency in mind.

"Some consider Scottsdale to be the ritzy part of town, that's for sure," said Ian Baker - a transplant from California "But that doesn't mean you shouldn't bargain hard when buying a home there. Especially whenever there's a soft real estate market."

"I had friends who were able to get brand new appliances and the closing costs paid for by the seller recently."

"How long will housing prices stay weak? Well, that's anyone's guess," Baker admitted with a ready smile.

"To a certain extent, like everything, it depends on supply and demand for homes in Scottsdale Arizona. And for now, it appears sellers are holding fast when it comes to pricing. Seeming to prefer to keep their house on the market for months before selling rather than dropping the price."

Still people want to live in Scottsdale for any number of reasons.

For some it's the charm of Old Scottsdale with it plentiful high end shopping. Not to mention all the great restaurants you'll find there.

Then too it is close to the heart of the Phoenix business center and only about 10 miles away from Sky Harbor airport.

For others it's all the parks, horse back riding trails, and secluded hiking and biking paths in the foothills. Which can't help but add to the appeal of Scottsdale homes.

Now when it comes to the real estate itself, you'll find planned communities and remote luxury houses are common there. And don't be surprised if access to private golf courses are included with home ownership.

Add to that unbeatable picture postcard desert landscape and you can understand the appeal of Scottsdale homes.
